In 1999 the former curator of the Veterinary Museum in the Veterinary University of Helsinki, prof.dr. C.-H. Klatt, was made honorary member of the Finnish Society for Medical History. He is the second veterinarian honoured in this manner, after his predecessor and founder of the museum Harry Stenberg who received the honorary membership in 1981.

Prof. Klatt is a regular contributor to Hippokrates. Annales Societatis Historiae Medicae Fennicae. In vol. 16 (1999), p. 100-114, he published an article on the Finnish students who studied veterinary medicine at the Tierärztliche Hochschule in Hannover between 1884 and 1944.
